What you have inside you… (Part 3)

We have already established the following with regards to the fullness of God that lives inside us the moment we are born again:

  1. The Word of God is contained within you
  2. The presence of God is within you, and this means blessings will be around you.

The presence of God is also referred to as the ‘secret place’ (see verse below).

“In the secret place of Your presence You hide them from the plots of men;” Ps 31:20

This takes us into a whole new dimension of life.  If we dwell in this secret place (God’s presence inside of us), we are promised the following (read the whole Psalm 91 for all of the promises):

– We will remain stable and fixed under God’s protection
– His truth and faithfulness will be our shield
– Even thought ten thousand may fall at our side, no harm shall come to us
– We will be inaccessible in the secret place (presence) of God
– God Himself will deliver us
– He will answer us, be with us in trouble and honor us
– He will satisfy us with a long life and show us His salvation

Wow – that is all I can say.  All of these promises are contained within God’s presence, which now lives inside us.  Selah.

  6. Confirmation: Moments after I read your last posts (parts 1-3) I turned on my TV and a preacher was teaching on the fulness of God dwelling inside us. His main reference was Ephesians 3:16-21. How do we attain this FULLNESS? As Paul states in verse 17: “…through your faith…”.

Eph 3:16 May He grant you out of the rich treasury of His glory to be strengthened and reinforced with mighty power in the inner man by the [Holy] Spirit [Himself indwelling your innermost being and personality].
Eph 3:17 May Christ through your faith [actually] dwell (settle down, abide, make His permanent home) in your hearts! May you be rooted deep in love and founded securely on love,
    Eph 3:18 That you may have the power and be strong to apprehend and grasp with all the saints [God’s devoted people, the experience of that love] what is the breadth and length and height and depth [of it];
Eph 3:19 [That you may really come] to know [practically, through experience for yourselves] the love of Christ, which far surpasses mere knowledge [without experience]; that you may be filled [through all your being] unto all the fullness of God [may have the richest measure of the divine Presence, and become a body wholly filled and flooded with God Himself]!
Eph 3:20 Now to Him Who, by (in consequence of) the [action of His] power that is at work within us, is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly, far over and above all that we [dare] ask or think [infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams]–
Eph 3:21 To Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations forever and ever. Amen (so be it).

I know it’s coming (sooner or later), so I’m looking forward to your post on Eph 3:20!! :-)

    • Wow – amazing confirmation! :-) The verses you posted resonates so strongly with everything in my heart. It is a very powerful piece of scripture (one of my favourites, actually) – will definitely do a post on it sometime!
