What you have inside you… (Part 2)

We have already established that the fullness of God lives inside us the moment we are born again (see previous post).  The fullness of God also refers to the presence of God, and the presence of God goes hand in hand with blessings.

We see this in 2 Sameul 6:11-12:

“And the ark of the Lord remained in the house of Obed-edom the Gittite for three months, and the Lord blessed Obed-edom and all his household.  And it was told King David, The Lord has blessed the house of Obed-edom and all that belongs to him, because of the ark of God.”

The ark of the Lord represents His presence in the Old Testament.  Wherever it went, blessings followed.  The same can be said of His presence today (His character remains unchanged) – the presence which now abides in us. Therefore we can expect supernatural blessings to follow us, and everyone close to us – even all items that belongs to us. We now contain the presence of God, we are His temple!

“For we are the temple of the living God; even as God said, I will dwell in and with and among them and will walk in and with and among them, and I will be their God, and they shall be My people” 2 Cor 6:16

  5. Thank you for this post! A revelation that really blessed me; like a breath of fresh air. With God present, you can’t help but be blessed. This is why David was so sure when he wrote: “Surely or only goodness, mercy, and unfailing love shall follow me all the days of my life, and through the length of my days the house of the Lord [and His presence] shall be my dwelling place.” Shalom: Nothing missing, nothing broken!

    • Amen! There is a great confidence and peace that comes with this realization, something that has opened my eyes the past few days! I think there is still a lot that can be said about the presence of God – will do so in Part 3. :-)
